Yoenis Céspedes Milanés who is popularly known as La Potencia is a Cuban-born professional baseball outfielder for the New York Mets of Major League Baseball (MLB). He made his debut on MLB on March 28, 2012, for the Oakland Athletics. Cespedes has also played in MLB for the Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers. He is a right-hand batter and fielder who stands 5 feet 10 inches (1.78 m) tall and weighs 220 pounds (100 kg).

Cespedes first played at MLB for Oakland Athletics in 2012, and also played at MLB for Boston Red Sox and Detroit Tigers. In his early career as a left field player, he has been split between left and middle area since joining Mets.
He played eight seasons from Cuba Campechuela for Alazanes de Granma in the Cuban National Series until 2010. Meanwhile, 0.319, .404 base percentage (OBP), .565 penetration percentage (SLG), 169 home runs and (RBI) 557 runs out of 528 games. Cespedes was a member of the Cuban national team and won a gold medal in three tournaments. He won Home Run Derby in MLB in both 2013 and 2014. He played twice on the All-Star and the first World Series in 2015 as a member of the National League champion Mets.
