Leauma, who had traveled to the Netherlands with the Spanish rugby team for a Six Nations B match against the Netherlands, is believed to have fallen about 25 feet from a shopping mall terrace.

Ordizia Rugby Elkartea, the Spanish team from the Basque Country where he played, had admitted that the latest hospital update they had received yesterday was not promising and would need more operations.
who still lives in New Zealand
In addition to his wife, who still lives in New Zealand, his sister has also traveled to Amsterdam from the United States.
Spain won the game against the Netherlands 52-7, but Leauma, who played several times for Samoa U-20s before being available to play for his adopted homeland through residency, did not play.
On Friday they told him they wouldn’t be wearing it in Saturday’s game, but he stayed to watch the action.
Initially, his absence from the game was erroneously linked to his testing positive for Covid before being attributed to a “bureaucratic” problem that led the referees to decide to delay his official debut with the Spanish senior team.
Initial reports immediately after the accident said it had happened when he was returning to his hotel.
But yesterday it emerged that it happened in the city of Leiden, near Amsterdam, after he decided to meet up after the game with other Dutch rugby players he knew from earlier stages in his career.
Reports in Spain suggest that he may have entered an area where the floor could have given way under him, although an investigation is ongoing.
Leauma, who turned 32 last Friday, was in his fourth season with his current club, better known as AMPO Ordizia.
