Warren Appleby has died following an accident during stunt rehearsal for the DC Universe series ‘Titans’ in Toronto on Thursday. The accident occurred at a special effects facility during the preparation and testing for an upcoming shoot for the DC’s Universe Titans. Appleby was struck in the head by a piece of metal while a car was being flipped during a stunt at the facility. He reportedly died while he was being transported to the hospital by EMTs. The incident took place in Toronto, Canada, where the series is filmed, and the Ministry of Labour is now investigating.
The stunt involved a car flipping on its side, but a piece of metal flew off and struck Appleby – who was standing nearby – in the head, TMZ reported.
After a tragic accident, he was rushed to the hospital but reportedly died on the way to the hospital.

A GoFundMe has set up to support Appleby’s wife, Jennifer, and two sons, aged 6 and 4. The page raised more than $43,815 of $100,000 goal. IATSE, the union that represents theatrical stage employees, tweeted that it was “absolutely devastated at the loss,” and that “we must continue our fight for safer workplaces until not a single one of our Sisters, Brothers, or kin are killed or injured on the job.”
Production will be shut down for two days.
