Vincent Sessler, 25, was charged with disorderly conduct, reckless conduct and battery to a peace officer.
Sessler is an employee at a Chicago Dunkin’ location was arrested Friday, one day after an Illinois state trooper discovered saliva inside a cup of coffee, state police said.
On July 30 at 22:20, an Illinois State Police unit ordered a large black coffee from Dunkin, 6738 W. Archer Ave. on the Far West Side of the city.
As the coffee was so hot, the soldier removed the lid from the cup for cooling, according to a report from the ISS. At this point, the soldier later observed a “large, thick piece of mucus” that was confirmed to have a floating saliva inside.
After an investigation, Sessler was arrested at 12:49. He was detained on Friday and without incident.
“This is extreme and disgusting. “The men and women of the Illinois State Police have entered the heart of protecting the lives and rights of all the people in this state every day.” ISS Director Brendan F. Kelly announced in the newsletter. “They deserve better than this insult and dangerous treatment. For their security, ISS officers and employees will be prohibited from protecting this place. ”
Sessler was detained on Saturday evening.
