Travis Christianson is a Madison, Wisconsin elementary school custodian who is accused of stabbing his 13-year-old daughter Addrianna Christianson to death inside the family’s home.
According to police, the “Murder/Homicide” occurred around 9 p.m. on July 30, 2020 inside a single family residence in the 3000 Block of Dorchester Way.
“The suspect in the case, 44-year-old Travis M. Christianson, was booked to Dane County Prison this afternoon and attempted a first-degree deliberate murder,” said Madison police in a newsletter.
A second person was also injured in the attack, but survived. This person is not yet defined.
The prison reservation document says Travis Maxim Christianson was booked on first-degree murder charges. The police confirmed that the 44-year-old suspect was Addrianna’s father.
Madison police confirmed that the detained man was the father of a 13-year-old girl in Madison due to the deadly stabbing.
The Dane County Medical Examination Office identified the victim as Addrianna Christianson. She died in a house in the 3000 block of Dorchester Way last Thursday night and another person was injured.
Travis Christianson, 44, was booked to Dane County Prison on charges of first degree murder and first degree murder attempt.
Addrianna Christianson was declared dead at the scene. Officers arrested Christianson at the crime scene before detaining her after using a Taser.
The undetected surviving victim was released from the hospital.
The police newsletter draws a chaotic scene when police go out of Christianson’s home. “Christianson was detained while leaving her home. The first respondent saw him and pulled out the service gun without knowing if the suspect was still armed, ”the police wrote.
“Christianson ignored the officer’s orders to land on the ground. Instead, he continued to advance at the officer. The officer took a step back, creating room while quickly assessing the suspect’s hands. He found that Christianson had no weapon. ”
The officer said, “Then I grabbed my pistol in my non-dominant hand and took my Taser out of its sleeve.” According to the police, the officer successfully deployed Taser and brought the suspect to the fetal position.
Police said the injured victim was released from a hospital. The motive is not clear. Heavy requested a copy of the criminal complaint when it was published.
