Lady Susie Moss is the wife of Sir Stirling Moss, a British motor racing and F1 legend. He was considered one the greatest Formula 1 drivers of all-time despite never winning a championship.

She is currently 67 years old as of 2020. When the couple got married back in 1980, she was 27 and while Stirling was 50. Speaking of their age gap, he said to Guardian, ” I know some people might think that is quite a big age gap, but, frankly, we have never noticed it.”

Stirling told the Guardian that he had known Susie nearly all her life. He first met her in the 50s when she was just five years old. Her family lived in Hong Kong and in those days you could get suits and shirts made there for just a few quid. Her mother worked for the Rootes Group, a big motor company, and she helped to organise things for the motor racing legend. Stirling spoke of his time in Japan saying, “Back then I was not so much of a hotel person, and they invited me to stay with them whenever I was over.”
The couple came back to Britain at the end of the 1960s and Stirling took Susie to her first Grand Prix. At the time, She wasn’t into racing at all – she was more of a jazz groupie – but would later get into liking thee sport.
Their relationship started out as just a really good friendship but then it developed into something much deeper. They celebrated their wedding in 1980 which lasted for 3 decades, until his death in April 2020.
In the early 90s, the organizers only paid for the race car, driver and one mechanic and Susie had to learn to change the ratios on my gearbox. Stirling told the guardian, “It was quite funny, as all these American wives were standing around watching, amazed, as Susie rolled up her sleeves and got on with it. So I thought it was time to give her a refresher course.”

Stirling Moss Death
Stirling Moss died on 12 April 2020, at the age of 90, after a long battle with illness. His wife Lady Moss confirmed his death in a statement to the Daily Mail: “He died as he lived, looking wonderful. He simply tired in the end and he just closed his beautiful eyes and that was that. It was one lap too many. He just closed his eyes.”
The F1 said in a statement: “Moss contested 66 Grands Prix from 1951 to 1961, driving for the likes of Vanwall, Maserati and Mercedes, where he famously formed a contented and ruthlessly effective partnership with lead driver Juan Manuel Fangio…All at F1 send our heartfelt condolences to Lady Susie and Sir Stirling’s family and friends.”
