Sharon Jennings, from Preston, was walking her own dog on the old railway lines in Brookfield between 6 pm and 7.30pm on Friday, May 31.
A woman who was bitten on the hand & neck by a dog in #Preston, has died.
Sharon Jennings, 55, was injured last Friday, when her dog and another dog started to fight in the Brookfield area.
Police are still trying to find the other dog’s owner.

Sharon Jennings has died after being bitten on the neck and hand by a dog that started a fight with her pet.
Another dog began fighting with hers and she intervened to try and stop them.
Sharon Jennings Cause of Death
She was bitten on the hand and neck but didn’t seek medical help and instead took her dog to the vet to be treated for an ear injury.
Ms. Jennings was found unwell at her home on Monday and was rushed to Royal Preston Hospital.

She died last night and it is believed she contracted an infection from the bites.
Investigators say they haven’t yet identified the dog involved or its owner but that inquiry are ongoing.
The animal is described as having speckled ginger and black fur and of medium height.

The owner was described as a man with thinning grey-black hair and wearing a blue fleece type jacket at the time of the incident.
Det Insp Chris Wellard of Preston Police said: ‘Our thoughts are with Sharon’s family and friends at this incredibly distressing time.
‘We’re working hard to establish what happened but need anyone with information to come forward as soon as possible.
