“Why is there a missing woman and you haven’t heard anything about me who was the last to see her, talk to the police,” she said in a Facebook video.
Speaking to 7News on Sunday, the woman’s father Curtis Cavett said he believed Ryan knew more than he admitted.
When asked how he felt about Ryan’s arrest, he replied, “I’m happy, sorry, angry, sorry.”
Cavett disappeared in late July and his 2-year-old son was found wandering alone in a lonely neighborhood in Miramar.
Ryan claimed to have known Cavett for about a year, and at one point they had nowhere to go, he took him and his son with him. He said he visited a student in Hollywood, he contacted him.
Cavett is allegedly telling Ryan that he bought a truck.
Ryan said, “I’ll get that truck from you.” “I’m not selling my truck.” I say, “Leila, come on, sell me the truck.”
Ryan said that he finally accepted and was on his way to South Florida. On July 25, the two met at a Walmart parking lot in Hollywood.
“He got in the car with me – boom – and went exactly as I told the police department,” Ryan said.
Ryan said he paid Cavett $ 3,000 to buy the truck from him and they stopped at the nearby RaceTrac gas station.
Photos released by the FBI confirmed that Cavett was at the gas station that day.
Ryan later said that the rest of the day was spent eating outside and on the beach. Hours later, they returned to the same RaceTrac gas station where Cavett was last seen.
Some guys he talked to in the car. Leila took him and her son and got into the car with these men, ”he said.
Ryan also said he was in Hollywood visiting a friend in the hospital when he connected with Cavett online and offered to buy her truck from her, a truck Cavett had reportedly just bought for herself.
“I said, ‘Let me buy that truck from you,’” Ryan said. “‘I’m not selling my truck.’ I’m like, ‘Leila, come on, sell me the truck.’ From my understanding, I thought she was the reason she was coming to Florida.”
Ryan alleged that Cavett showed up with the truck and her son in Florida after their conversation. He claimed he spent the day with Cavett and Kamydyn, going to the beach and treating them to lunch and dinner.
The suspect added that he paid Leila $3,000 for her truck, and at some point, they ended up at the RaceTrac in Hollywood, where Leila and her son left with unknown men.
“Pulled up to the gas station — boom — when I pulled up to the gas station, it’s some guys in a car that she talking to,” Ryan said. “These guys look familiar because they like some [expletive] she was talking to at the beach, and she got no limits [expletive].”

“She’s a friend of mine, and she don’t care nothing about your boundaries. She would tear your boundary down and start a conversation with you, and you’re going to talk to her. Leila got her and her son and got in the car with those guys. When she get in the car with these guys, it gotta be on camera.”
On June 28, authorities found Cavett’s truck park at a Walmart adjacent to the RaceTrac, off of 441 and Hollywood Blvd. in Hollywood. Ryan’s sedan was parked by the truck. Ryan said he was napping in his car and woke up to find himself surrounded by police.
“Police everywhere, they jumped out, ‘Hey, what are you doing? Freeze!’” Ryan said. “We have a missing woman, and I gave the police everything that I know. Everything.”
Ryan, who took photos of officers searching his car, apparently told them he had no idea where to find Cavett or her son. He later posted photos of the officers searching his car, a Lexus sedan. Leila’s truck can be seen parked close to Ryan’s car in one of the photos.
Authorities have not yet commented on what Ryan allegedly lied about. Cavett still remains missing.
“That’s my price. This is how I do business. I get paid to answer people’s questions, so you are no different. Other than that, I have nothing to say and you can quote me on this,” Ryan told media.

Where’s Leila?

Cavett may have left Georgia “abruptly” at night and went to Florida for unknown reasons, but some family members fear he met someone online he wanted to meet in person.
In the morning hours of July 26, passerby Ebony Williams discovered that 2-year-old Kamdyn was walking alone outside an apartment complex on SW 68th Avenue in Miramar, wearing a T-shirt and a dirty cloth. The passerby contacted the police after looking for the babysitters of the toddler in the area with no luck.
“I heard the baby cry, so I walked and realized it was on his own,” said Williams. “Where’s your mom?” I asked and pointed as everywhere.
While the search continues, Kamdyn is in the foster family. Cavett’s sister Gina Lewis said the family was trying to get custody of Kamdyn, but the process was not easy.
Cavett is 5 feet-4 inches tall and weighs about 120 pounds. He has a handwritten “Kamdyn” tattoo on the inside of his right arm and a small tattoo of “Jesus fish” on his right wrist.
Anyone who has information about Cavett’s whereabouts should contact FBI Miami at 1-800-CALL-FBI or go to FBI.gov/tips.
