Shannon Rupert, of Shreveport, died Friday at LSU Ochsner Hospital. The deadly shooting happened at about 5:45 a.m. Friday when Bossier City police responded to a complaint about a disorderly person at the LaQuinta Inn, where Rupert was staying.

The body camera and the closed-circuit video of the incident show that Bossier City police officer Patrick Edmonds Jr shot and killed Shannon Rupert, 45, in the lobby of the LaQuinta Inn hotel in Bossier City, Louisiana, in the morning of October 25.

A review of the incident carried out by the Bossier Parish District Attorney’s Office has concluded that Edmonds was justified in the use of force, according to the Shreveport Times.
