Saugus MA Shooting, Suspect shooter Found Dead

Two people are dead after a shooting in Saugus, according to Essex County District Attorney.
Saugus Police were called to the Mobil gas station at 2 Essex Street around noon on Friday for a reported shooting. A male victim was taken to Mass. General Hospital where he was pronounced dead.
The suspect, a 63-year-old man, fled the scene and was later found dead in a car at the Woodlawn Cemetery in Everett.

The DA says the public’s safety is not at risk.
The DA, Saugus Police, and State Police are investigating. No identities have been released yet.
Everett Public Schools were placed in lockdown as police searched for the suspect.
Saugus police earlier said they were searching for a white Mini Cooper in connection with the incident at the Mobil station at 2 Essex Street.
The male victim, a longtime employee at the gas station, was transported to Massachusetts General Hospital where he was pronounced dead, according to authorities.
Police said the incident did not appear random.
The incident remains under investigation.
