Sahar Tabar Wiki – Sahar Tabar Biography
The Iranian social media celebrity known as ‘Zombie Angelina Jolie’ appeared in a television interview that showed her true face after she was released from prison.
According to activist Masih Alinejad, Sahar Tabar, who was arrested last year on charges of ‘corruption’ and ‘swearing’, was recently released from prison due to the outrage of the public, who was sentenced to 10 years in prison.
Tabar is famous for posting heavily corrected Instagram photos of her skinny, spooky face, sparking comparisons with a corpse-like Angelina Jolie – but her appearance on Rokna confirmed that these were more of an illusion than the result of plastic surgery.
The state-run media outlet has not yet disclosed what it said in its TV interview, but said that ‘what you saw on Instagram was the computer effects I used to create the picture’ before it was released.
Tabar told Rokna that she was looking for Instagram fame because she ‘wanted to be famous since my childhood’.
Cyberspace was an easy route. It was much easier than being an actor, ‘he said.
However, after his ordeal, he apparently said, ‘I’m sure I won’t put Instagram on my phone anymore, get a page.’
Human rights groups say Iran has a long history of broadcasting confessions on government-run TV channels.
Tabar, whose real name is Fatemeh Khishvand, has been in prison for 14 months after his arrest in October 2019.
In April, the US-based Iran Human Rights Center (CHRI) said Tabar was on the ventilator after he was caught in Covid-19 in prison.
Iran was one of the first hotspots of the pandemic, and CHRI said he became seriously ill at the Sina Hospital in Tehran before apparently recovering.
According to government media, Tabar’s arrest last year came after “numerous requests from the public” for his detention.
Accusations of swearing, incitement to violence, improper means of earning income and promoting corruption among young people.
In an interview broadcast last October, he told state television, “I don’t look like these photoshopped pictures right now.”
Tabar denied the news that she was trying to look like Jolie and instead said she was inspired by a zombie-like character from the animated fantasy movie ‘Corpse Bride’.
His Instagram account, which he said has 486,000 followers, has since been removed.
The TV channel said that a divorced couple is their only child living with their mother, and ‘he could have been in college by now’ without his ‘weird’ online personality and fame.
Amnesty International has repeatedly urged Iran to stop publishing videos of such ‘confessions’ and said they ‘violate the rights of the defendants’.
In an interview with Tabar, she claimed that she was trying to stop her mom from changing her appearance, but continued to follow her Instagram likes.
Apparently, he said, ‘I saw people following what I was doing and when the likes increased, I felt I was doing the right thing.
