She was born on January 2nd, 1941, in Bremen. Ruth Walz is a German theatre photographer, she is known for her work at the Berlin Schaubühne on Hallesches Ufer in the 1970s and 80s and her long-standing collaboration with (among others) the directors Peter Stein, Klaus Michael Grüber, Luc Bondy, Peter Sellars, Pierre Audi, and Robert Wilson.
Ruth Walz parents are Richard Bertram-Nothnagel and Lore Bertram-Nothnagel. After studying at the Berlin Lette-Verein, she began her photographic career as a still photographer in Ulrike Meinhof’s film Bambule (television play) and in advertising (including for the brewery Berliner Kindl). Before 1976, a permanent position at the Berlin Schaubühne on Hallesches Ufer. Since 1990 she has been working freelance (inter alia for the Salzburg Festival, the Wiener Festwochen, and De Nationale Opera ).

Bruno Ganz was born on 22nd March 1941 and died on 16th February 2019. He was a renown Swiss actor who had been a prominent figure in German language film and television for over fifty years.
His most famous role was as Adolf Hitler in Academy Award-nominated film Downfall (2004). One particular scene depicting Hitler in apoplectic fury became a meme and spawned thousands of parodies online.
