State police said that Robert Eppley, a 26-year-old man, was found dead after shooting at another known victim. The third known victim allegedly observed what was going on and shot Eppley which resulted in the death of Eppley.
State police are continuing to investigate a deadly conflict that occurred at the Gamelands Arms Field in Green Township.

More information on what state police say resulted in the death of a North Eastern person among three men this afternoon.
Around 2 pm, Pennsylvania State Troops were sent to the State Gamelands Gun Range on Sansom Road in Green Township, where three victims were involved in a conflict.
“The first investigation revealed that Robert Allen Eppley, 26-year-old North East PA, died on the spot,” said Heather Kittle of Pennsylvania State Police.
State police said Eppley had repeatedly shot at the known victim. He was eventually transferred to an Erie hospital.
“PA started shooting from Erie at a 28-year-old man,” Kittle said.
Also from Erie, a 67-year-old male observed what was happening and allegedly shot Eppley multiple times.
Trooper Kittle added that these multiple gunshots caused Eppley to die on the spot.
There were more than one witnesses at the scene. This is how we have determined throughout the investigation so far that Eppley fired down from range, came back and started shooting at the victim, ”Kittle said.
An autopsy is scheduled for Eppley at 11am in County Morgue on Wednesday, December 23rd.
The 67-year-old male suspect is currently in custody.
“He is being interviewed. The investigation is still ongoing. I have no details on how this is going,” Kittle said.
The Pennsylvania Games Commission closed Gamelands in gun range until further notice.
