Ramsey Bethann Carpenter-Bearse is an American beauty pageant titleholder and teacher. She was named Miss Kentucky 2014 on July 12, 2014. She competed for the title of Miss America 2015, where she won the preliminary talent competition and placed in the Top 12 as a semi-finalist.

While working as a West Virginia school teacher, a former Mrs. Kentucky prisoner who agreed to exchange sexual photos with a young student was sentenced to prison. Ramsey BethAnn Bearse, 29, received a two-year sentence at the Kanawha County Circuit Court on Tuesday.

According to Kanawha Deputy Prosecutor Meshell Jarrett, he was also sentenced to 10 more years of probation and has to be registered as a lifetime sex offender. He should report to the Correctional Center and the Prison at 10am or earlier. Monday, July 20, 2020, CBS member WOWK-TV reports.
According to WOWK-TV, the former secondary school educator was found guilty of having material that depicts minors in sexually suggestive behavior in December 2019. “Because I am an adult and she is just a teenager, I agree with the full accusation for my mistake and situation,” said Bearse. “Here I am guilty of this crime. I ruined big times.”
Initially he was given four counts to send sexually explicit material to four children.

Officials said Bearse agreed to exchange photos with the student on Snapchat between August and October 2018. A parent of the male student reported that the teenager had found the images on his phone.

Bearse previously stated that she wanted to send a photo to her husband, but accidentally sent it to young people. He claimed that the student wanted additional photos, so he continued to send it “because he was afraid to appease him”.
Bearse said on Tuesday that he accepted “full responsibility” for his actions.

Under Carpenter’s maiden name, Bearse crowned Mrs. Kentucky at the Miss America contest in 2014.

He was dismissed from his teaching post during the investigation and said the Kanawha County school district no longer works there.

Bearse is not the only ex-Mrs. Kentucky arrested. In 2017, a major jury sentenced 28-year-old Kia Hampton to an Ohio prison for a prisoner to smuggle marijuana.
