Rabbi Chaim Rottenberg Anti-Semitic Attack

Five people were injured in a stabbing attack at a Hannukah gathering Saturday night in a New York City suburb with a large Orthodox Jewish population, according to local law enforcement.
On Saturday evening around 10 p.m., the attacker, armed with a machete, entered the home of Rabbi Chaim Leibish Rottenberg, who was hosting a Hanukkah gathering. In the ensuing melee, attendees hurled tables and chairs to fend off the knifeman, who stabbed five people before leaving the building in the direction of the nearby synagogue. He fled the scene after realizing the Jewish house of worship was locked, eyewitnesses said.
According to Governor Andrew Cuomo, there have been at least 13 anti-Semitic attacks in the state of New York since December 8, 2019. He added: “This is violence that is fueled by hatred. It is mass violence and I see this as an act of domestic terrorism. Let’s call it what it is. “Immediately after the knife stab, the rabbi and his followers gathered in the synagogue next to his house, the site of the attack, and continued the celebrations. “God’s grace has not ended and His mercy has not left us,” is a rough translation of the texts, “wrote the Orthodox Jewish Public Affairs Council.
