Quaden Bayles is an Australian with Achondroplasia dwarfism that went viral this week after his mom posted a disturbing video of him breaking down in tears after being bullied.

Bullied at school for his dwarfism, 9-year-old Quaden Bayles sobs uncontrollably in the back of his mother’s car — saying to the camera: “Give me a knife, I want to kill myself.”

His mother, Yarraka Bayles, from the Australian state of Queensland, posted the heartbreaking Facebook Live video this week to raise awareness of the impact of bullying. In the video, she said her son had previously attempted suicide.
“This is what bullying does,” she said in the video. “Can you please educate your children, your families, your friends?”

Who is Quaden Bayles

A 9-year-old boy who said on a heartbreaking video that he wanted to kill himself after being bullied is getting a lift from the MMA world … he’s taken ONE Championship officials up on their offer for free training lessons.

When Yarraka picked up her son after school and saw him burst into tears in the car, she decided filming the outburst would be the best way to get teachers and parents to listen.

After pulling up outside, the Aboriginal rights activist says she saw another boy patting her son on the head and making fun of his height. The distraught boy then told his mum: ‘I just want to stab myself in the heart… I want someone to kill me.’ Sadly, Quaden has made several attempts to take his own life in the past.

After Yarraka’s upsetting video went viral Jackman, who starred in the Greatest Showman and played Wolverine in the X-men films, posted a video on Twitter. He said: ‘Quaden, you are stronger than you know mate, and no matter what, you’ve got a friend in me.

Quaden’s mum’s Facebook page was also flooded with kind messages, with people stressing how her son ‘deserves a safe place’ when he goes to school. One person wrote: ‘It is our responsibility as parents in raising our children to be kind, respectful and compassionate to one another regardless of appearance, gender, religion, race and everything else that makes us different.’ Describing her son’s reaction to the support he’s received, Yarraka said: ‘He said it was going from the worst day of his life to the best day of his life.

Quaden Bayles GoFundMe

in his GoFundMe page Brad Williams wrote;

Quaden is an amazing boy from Australia with dwarfism. One day when his mother picked him up from school, she found Quaden in hysterics. Quaden was being bullied so horribly in school, that he just could not take it anymore. His mother filmed his tearful outcry and put it on Facebook to let people know the effect that bullying can have. The bullying was so severe, in the video Quaden can be heard saying “Give me a knife—I want to kill myself.” I’m setting up this GoFundMe to let Quaden know that bullying will not be tolerated and that he is a wonderful human being who deserves joy. I want to fly Quaden and his mother to America, get them a nice hotel and bring them to Disneyland.

This isn’t just for Quaden, this is for anyone who has been bullied in their lives and told they weren’t good enough. Let’s show Quaden and others, that it is good in the world and they are worthy of it. I have been in touch directly with Quaden’s mother. So I will have their information to book the flights. Funds raised will be spent on two aeroplane tickets for Quaden and his mother from Australia to Los Angeles. As well as providing a hotel, food, and tickets to Disneyland Park in Anaheim for multiple days. After all the flights, hotel, tickets, and food is paid for, any excess money will be donated to anti-bullying/anti-abuse charities
