The New England Pentecostal Church in Pelham, New Hampshire, was the scene of a terrible shooting on the morning of October 12. The nature of the injury to the injured is unknown at the time of writing. Ashley Armstrong of CBS News reports that no deaths have been reported and that the shooter is in custody. It is unknown if a religious service was held at the time of the shooting.

The city of Pelham is located in the south of New Hampshire, 37 km south of Manchester. The shooting is being investigated by the New Hampshire State Police Major Crimes Unit.

The New Hampshire authorities reacted to a shooting on Saturday morning near a church where at least one person was shot and the shooter is in custody, a Pelham police spokesman, who was confirmed to The Daily Beast.

Police responded shortly after 10 am to Pentecostal New England. The church is no longer an active shooting situation, police said, adding that the alleged armed man was in custody.

According to reports, several fire and ambulance teams still stand in front of the white one-story church, which is about 30 minutes from Boston.

The State Police Major Crimes Unit told The Daily Beast that they were also involved in the investigation, but did not reveal any details. According to the Church’s website, a “meeting of men and women” was scheduled for Saturday at 9:30 in the morning of the month of domestic abuse.

According to the New England Pentecostal Ministries official website, the church is led by Bishop Stanley Choate and his wife, Pastor Ruth Choate. The couple has led the church since 1987.


In the church is no longer an active shooter situation, police said, adding that the suspected shooter is in custody. Lowell General Hospital confirmed to The Daily Beast that one patient was transported there from the church shooting, but did not provide any details on their condition or injuries.
