Missing ballerina may have been dismembered: Olga Demina Bio, Wiki, Age
Authorities in Russia appear to have a suspect in the 2014 disappearance of a famed ballerina Olga Demina, who may have been murdered and dissolved in acid.
As the New York Post reports, 25-year-old Olga Demina, who was a ballerina with the famed Bolshoi Theatre company, vanished in 2014. Her body has never been found, and new information suggests she was murdered before her remains were dissolved in acid.
Citing an article published in East2West News, which was translated from the Russian newspaper Komsomolskaya Pravda, the New York Post reports that a man described as Demina’s former manager and possible lover is now being eyed in her presumed murder.
According to the report, Malkhaz Dzhavoev, 40, served a five and a half year prison sentence on fraud charges related to an apartment with Demina’s boyfriend Alexey Fetisov. The details of the fraud conviction are not specified in the report, but a witness or witnesses are said to have come forward, claiming they heard Dzhavoev reveal that he knew what happened to Demina.

A police source told the Russian media outlet that Dzhavoev allegedly “blurted out” during his incarceration that the body of the missing dancer was “dismembered and dissolved in acid.”
It is not known if the Russian investigators have a theory about how Demina died, but the police source indicated that the authorities have some idea where his remains could be found.
“The search work is underway now. Sulfuric acid dissolves everything to zero, ”said the source. “Some parts of the body must be preserved, but they still need to be found.”
The precise nature of Demina’s relationship with Dzhavoev is unclear, but Demina’s mother told the Russian media outlet that Dzhavoev used to receive money from his daughter and seemed to have a strong influence on him.
“Shortly before his death, he sold his Peugeot car. He went to sell it with Malkhaz. He took the money, ”he said. “Olga also had loans in her name and gave the money to Malkhaz. She was completely at his mercy. “
