Nathan Goddard was identified as the suspect shooter of Dayton Ohio police Detective Jorge Del Rio. He was charged with felonious assault on an agent, according to U.S. Attorney Dave DeVillers.

Cahke Cortner, 39, and Lionel Combs III, 40, were charged with conspiring to distribute drugs, according to an affidavit. Courtney Allen, 34, also was in custody in connection to the shooting, the station said.
The DEA’s Dayton office reportedly conducted an investigation on a Dayton fentanyl operation between July and October, which led them to believe Goddard was a supplier. Police were conducting a search warrant on the suspected home Monday when Del Rio was shot, they said.
Three men charged
One of the men, Nathan S. Goddard Jr., 39, faces a federal charge of assaulting a law enforcement officer involved in a federal investigation with a deadly weapon, according to a press release from the Federal Prosecutor’s Office. Southern District of Ohio
The arrest warrant for DelRio and DEA agents came after a 3-month investigation into a fentanyl operation in the city, the lawyer’s office said.
The federal search warrant was issued as a result of that investigation, the office said.
At home, agents recovered two guns loaded with 30-cartridge extended magazines, an AR gun in a package loaded with 28 rounds of real ammunition, approximately 28 pounds of fentanyl and cocaine, more than 50 pounds of marijuana and more than $ 50,000 cash. Biehl said Tuesday.
Goddard is also accused of conspiracy to possess with the intention of distributing more than 400 grams of fentanyl, 500 grams or more of cocaine and marijuana, the US prosecutor’s office said.
Two of the other men, Cahke Cortner, 39, and Lionel Combs III, 40, are also accused of conspiring to distribute the drugs, he said.
Goddard faces a maximum sentence of 30 years for assaulting a federal office with a gun, federal prosecutor for the Southern District of Ohio, David M. DeVillers, said at the press conference. The mandatory minimum for the narcotics conspiracy charge is 20 years and up to life imprisonment, he said.
The three defendants are scheduled for a hearing on November 8, the US prosecutor’s office said.
