Who is Masood Zakaria?

A manhunt of two senior members of the Alameddine criminal network was launched amid fears that they might flee the country after allegedly fleeing.

Masood Zakaria, 26, and Ali Younes, 24, are wanted by the police for their alleged involvement in organized criminal activities in southwest Sydney.

Police believe the two men are actively trying to evade law enforcement and fear that they may be trying to flee the country.

Masood Zakaria is described as having a Mediterranean / Middle Eastern appearance, standing about 180 cm tall, with an obese build, brown eyes, black hair and a beard.

Ali Younes is described as having a Mediterranean / Middle Eastern appearance, standing about 180 cm tall, with a large complexion, brown eyes, black hair and possibly unshaven.

Anyone who sees a man or has information on his whereabouts is urged not to approach them and call triple zero immediately.

The persecution comes as the Alameddine and Hamze families fight a brutal turf war in Sydney.

Bilal Hamze was shot and killed in a brutal gang execution on the night of June 17 as he was leaving a glitzy Japanese restaurant on Bridge Street in Sydney.

Hamze, 34, who had a distinctive teardrop tattoo under his right eye, was walking down Bridge Street when up to 10 shots were fired from a stolen black Audi.

Homicide detectives established Strike Force Englorie to investigate the murder and are also investigating a separate alleged attempted murder of his younger brother Ibrahim Hamze in North Sydney in August.

Daily Mail Australia does not suggest that Zakaria or Younes played any role in the conflict.
