Majak Daw Wiki: Majak Daw (born 11 March 1991) is a professional Footballer playing for the North Melbourne Kangaroos in the Australian Football League(AFL). Majak Daw and his family in Australia are refugees from the civil wars in Sudan. Daw became the first Sudanese Australian to be drafted to an AFL club when Majak Daw was contracted to North Melbourne in the 2009 AFL Draft. Majak Daw‘s drafting gained international attention; it was reported by the BBC and the Voice of America. Majak Daw made his first appearance for North Melbourne in a NAB Cup match on 20 February 2011

Majak Daw was born in Khartoum, Sudan, the third of his parents’ nine children. His family fled the Second Sudanese Civil War, living in Egypt for three years, then moved to Australia in 2003. Majak attended school at MacKillop College in Werribee.
Majak Daw Sexual assault charge
On 1 July 2014, Majak Daw was charged with three counts of rape relating to an alleged sexual assault incident in Altona North in 2007. Majak Daw had been previously arrested and interviewed over the allegations in May 2014. Majak Daw denied the allegations, while North Melbourne stated that Majak Dawwould remain available for selection.
On 3 December 2015, Majak Daw was found not guilty on all counts.
Majak Daw Bolte Bridge
AFL star Majak Daw is in a stable condition after he fell from Melbourne’s Bolte bridge into the Yarra river late on Monday night.
Majak Daw is expected to undergo surgery later on Tuesday.
“Majak sustained very serious injuries to his hips and pelvic region,” North chairman Ben Buckley said.
