Lorna Doom Wiki: Lorna Doom was born as Teresa Ryan in 1957 and died on January 16th, 2019 aged 61. Lorna Doom was an actress, known for The Decline of Western Civilization (1981) and the bassist with cult Los Angeles punk band Germs.

Lorna Doom surviving members of the band played together here and there until 1990. Smear joined Nirvana as a touring guitarist and then an original member of Foo Fighters in the ’90s.

Lorna Doom, Smear and Bolles reunited in 2005, , when a Crash biopic called What We Do Is Silent spurred reunion shows with the film’s star, Shane West, taking over on lead vocals.

The Germs were featured in the 1981 documentary The Decline of Western Civilization, which was released after Crash’s death.

Lorna Doom Bio

Lorna Doom was an original member of cult Los Angeles punk band Germs where she played bass on all of their discographies. She helped shape punk in the ‘70s with seminal LP (GI), the band’s first and only album, produced by Joan Jett. Germs featured heavily in Penelope Spheeris’s 1981 documentary of the LA punk scene, The Decline of Western Civilization, and their story was later told in the 2007 biopic What We Do Is Secret.

She died on January 16, 2019, aged 61. The news of her death was confirmed on Facebook by onetime Germs drummer Don Bolles. He simply shared Lorna’s name and then commented on his post, “She left this mortal coil today around 1.”
