Leung Chi-cheung Burned Alive
He was set on fire in a horrible act of violence after chasing a group of masked protesters who had shattered an MTR station during Monday’s midday rush hour.
On Monday night, Leung Chi-cheung, a father of two 57-year-old daughters, was fighting for his life in the hospital with severe body burns and head trauma.
A spokeswoman for the Fire Department said Leung had second-degree burns on 28 percent of his body, mainly in his chest and arms. The police have classified the case as attempted murder.
Around 1 p.m., a group of more than 20 masked protesters and dressed in black shattered the facilities at the MTR station on Ma On Shan on Sai Sha Road in Ma On Shan. The group fled on foot before the police arrived.
When Leung walked away, he shouted “You’re not Chinese” to the group. Protesters responded shouting “We are Hongkongers.”
The video then showed Leung returning to face the protesters and a dispute ensued.

He is Fighting for his life in hospital with severe burns to nearly 30 per cent of his body.
“During the dispute, he was doused with flammable liquid and set alight,” a police source said.
Leung was conscious when he was taken to Prince of Wales Hospital in Sha Tin, where he was admitted into the intensive care unit in critical condition.
