Lady Red Couture, star of the beloved web series Hey Qween, has passed away at the age of 43, leaving loved ones and fans of the show devastated.

Jonny McGovern, the host of the show, confirmed the sad news earlier today. “I can’t believe I am writing this message but the unthinkable has happened,” he wrote.

He wrote: “I can’t believe I am writing this message but the unthinkable has happened.
“This morning at 5am, I received a call from the hospital letting me know that Lady Red just passed away.
“I was told she was improving yesterday and ready to move out of intensive care. But very early this morning she had an episode and coded and she was just gone.
“I was just with her Mom and sister. We are in shock. We are devastated.”
Jonny continued: “I know she meant so much to so many people.
“…For today, all I can do is cry and mourn the giant loss of my sister, creative partner and best friend.”
Hit YouTube show “Hey Qween!” Its co-host, Jonny McGovern, confirmed the news of death on social media:
“I can’t think I wrote this message, but it was unthinkable. At 5 am this morning, I received a call saying that Lady Red had just died. Yesterday he was said to have recovered and was ready to get out of intensive care. But this morning he had a very early episode and coded and just left. I was just with his mother and sister. We are in shock. We demolished. ”
She asked for privacy to Lady Red’s close friends and family. She said that Lady Red would collect a donation with her sister to cover any additional costs. “But all I can do for today is to cry and mourn the giant loss of my sister, creative partner and best friend.”

The news that Lady Red had passed came just one day after McGovern announced that her condition had been stabilized. Drag artist was hospitalized on July 19, says McGovern due to complications from “chronic condition-cyclic vomiting syndrome”. He said he was in the intensive care unit at that time, but tested negative for COVID-19.
“All your prayers work,” he said in his next update on July 24th. He said he was unconscious and in the breathing tube for five days before eventually stabilizing. McGovern added that they hoped to get him out of the intensive care unit over the weekend. Lady Red’s last Instagram post came when she wished McGovern a happy birthday on July 12.

Lady Red was featured in a new article by Harper’s Bazaar promoting the “most legendary drag queens” in the USA. The article states that Lady Red described herself as “the biggest live singing drag queen”. “I have been around for a long time, so everything that shines or shines is very good,” he added.
Lady Red and McGovern said, “Hey Qween!” A show where they discussed current issues and interviewed different personalities such as RuPaul, Alaska and Dita Von Teese for eight seasons. Harper’s Bazaar described Lady Red’s presence on the show as “an exuberant interpretation, a clear laugh and an appetite for life.” The show’s YouTube channel has over 74 million views.

Tributes have poured in for Lady Red Couture, many of them from the stars of RuPaul’s Drag Race, who are frequent guests on Hey Qween.

“Heaven better be ready for some cuttin up and kikiing children,” said Latrice Royale, who was “devastated” by the loss.

The Vixen said she is “deeply saddened” and that Red will “forever be an angel in my eyes.”

Trixie Mattel urged followers to help out Red’s loved ones, remembering her as “an icon who every drag queen loved to be around.”

Detox said she is “heartbroken” at the loss of “an icon, a force and a friend.”
