Labreaunne Wilson is a Florida woman was arrested on murder charges Wednesday, shortly after her 6-year-old son was y found dead in an extended-stay hotel room.
As WKMG reported, Orange County Sheriff’s Office said Avion Borner died after being found unresponsive in a bathtub in Labreaunne Wilson’s room at the Key Suites in Orlando. According to the news report, that there was water in the tub when deputies found Borner.
Before Borner’s body was found, surveillance cameras reportedly captured Wilson, 26, and carried the boy across the street to Lake Tyler. Wilson was filmed returning to the hotel only a short time later, according to the news station.
Wilson reportedly returned to the lake approximately 30 minutes later. Upon returning, she was seen by the camera that appeared to be carrying Borner’s inert body over her shoulder, heading back to her hotel room.
An hour and a half later, Wilson reportedly left the hotel room alone and walked back to Lake Tyler. Witnesses said Wilson stripped off her clothes and entered the water naked, according to an arrest affidavit.
Wilson allegedly refused to leave the lake and kept saying, “God forgive me.”
Bystanders and members of the Orange County Fire Department eventually pulled Wilson out of the water. Once out of the lake, water officers heard Wilson say, “I think I killed my son,” according to the Orlando Sentinel.
A manager at the Key Suites complex and Borner’s grandmother, who also lives at the hotel, eventually found Borner unconscious in the bathtub. He was pronounced dead at the hospital.
A witness and the witness’s daughter told police they were with Wilson and their son shortly before Wednesday’s fatal incident.
The witness said her daughter and Borner were playing in the yard while she and Wilson talked. The witness claimed that everything seemed normal until 2:30 p.m., when Wilson abruptly grabbed Borner’s arm and said they had to go.
Wilson, who was unharmed, was arrested after being released from the hospital. Authorities have not yet released the cause of Borner’s death.
