Khusela Diko is a South African politician. She is currently serving as the head of Communications and spokesperson to the President of the Republic of South Africa.
A few years ago, the former ANC communications manager spent most of her time receiving calls from the media.
But nowadays, she most times get calls from ordinary South African citizens instead of journalists.
The calls she receives most times are complaints from the public on a poor service delivery or help offers from business people.

Khusela left everything she was doing at Luthuli House and found her way to the Union Building five (5) days before the President reshuffled his Cabinet.
She insists that she wouldn’t have attained her position today if it was not for the support she received from her comrades in the ruling party.
Khusela also credits the members of the ANC Women’s League and Basic Education Minister Angie Motshekga for her achievement.
Khusela Diko Parents
Her father was the younger brother of former Judge President Themba Sangoni. Diko’s late father with human rights lawyer George Bizos is one of the executors of Nelson Mandela’s estate.
She credits her grandmother Lungilwe Mphahlwa and her mother Masivuye Sangoni for her resilience and strength.
Diko’s mother raised her and her two (2) siblings while she doubled up as a teacher.

The Mthatha-born politician holds a BComm degree from the University of South Africa and is currently studying Law.
Khusela Diko Husband
She is married to King Thandisizwe Diko. The couple had a two-day royal wedding which started at Khusela’s home in Qokolweni.
The next day, the wedding celebration moved to the Elundzini Great Place at Ncutheni village in KwaBhaca in the Eastern Cape.
She addressed several people like the minister of public works Thulas Nxesi and deputy minister of co-operative governance and traditional affairs, Obed Bapela.

She was born into the family of lawyers and according to her, it is inevitable that she would pursue a career in law. At the moment, she is pursuing a degree in Law.
“I had always known I would follow this path somehow”,
she says. Her late father and his brother ran a law firm in the 1980s in the then Transkei, an unrecognized state in South Africa (1976-1994).
Khusela was raised in a christian family and embarked on a journey of self-discovery that directed her back to church. Khusela is married into a family with strong traditional beliefs. Her mother-in-law reminds her of the importance of being a prayer warrior.
Madzikane II Diko passed away on 21 February 2021 in a hospital in East London following a short illness, the KwaBhaca Kingdom confirmed.
“It is with great sadness that KwaBhaca Great Kingdom announces the untimely passing of our King, His Majesty Madzikane II Diko,” the KwaBhaca Kingdom said in a statement. “Ingonyama Madzikane II Diko passed away in the afternoon of Sunday, 21 February 2021 in East London following short illness. ISizwe samaBhaca and the Royal family are still coming to terms with this shocking and painful loss of our beloved father, son and husband, and will make further announcements once the Kingdom has finalised the arrangements for the burial.

Madzikane II Diko’s cause of death was not revealed. The KwaBhaca Kingdom said he died following a short illness. There are few details available on the exact nature of the illness that led to his death.
