Keyon Harrold is a Black musician who posted a video on Instagram he says shows his 14-year-old son being falsely accused of stealing an iPhone from a white woman at Arlo SoHo Hotel in New York City and then being assaulted by her. The woman in the viral video has not been identified.
In the video, Harrold tells the woman and a manager at the hotel that her son did not pick up the phone and then, while trying to leave, the unidentified woman attacked him and his son. According to Harrold, the woman’s Uber driver later came to the hotel to give her her iPhone and said she left it in her car.
Harrold wrote on Instagram about the incident on December 26: “A few minutes after this incident his phone was magically returned by an Uber driver. He does not apologize to my son after this traumatic situation, not me. No apologies to the establishment. “Harrold was not immediately reached for opinion by the Heavy. The 1-minute video shows part of the incident involving Harrold, his 14-year-old son, an unidentified woman, and the Arlo SoHo Hotel employee who identifies himself as a manager. Harrold posted the video on December 26, a few hours after the incident occurred. Harrold said that he and his son were staying at the hotel and when the woman came across they came to the lower lobby area to have breakfast.

The woman then told Harrold that the “find my iPhone” setting on her phone was turned off and that she was holding her son pointing. The hotel manager then begins to question Harrold, and Harrold says he is not authorized to speak to him. The manager says, “I’m trying to resolve this situation.”
When Harrold said that his son had nothing to do with the woman, “then show me the evidence. It does not go. Show me the proof. “The woman then runs to follow Harrold and his son down a corridor.” I won’t let him get away with my phone. He then gets thrown at Harrold and falls to the ground and tells a security guard to get his phone back. The video ends with the woman who pushed Harrold.
