They applied lifesaving measures to Davis Monday evening. He was rushed to the hospital and died from his wound 51 minutes later.

He entered the fast-food restaurant in the 6200 blocks of Livingston Road around 7 pm Monday night, where about three dozen people were in line, many waiting for the newly launched chicken sandwich, said police chief Hank Stawinski.

Then he cut the line and was confronted by a suspicious man. The two exchanged words and the discussion intensified to the point that the two left the restaurant and Davis was stabbed. The police say that the entire confrontation lasted only 15 seconds.
In the Maryland Popeyes attack, a witness described how a ‘guy cut the line’ before ‘leaving’ and ‘a guy was stabbed’, adding: ‘And now we can’t leave because they have to make sure there isn’t blood on the road. ‘

Prince George County Police also released a surveillance photo of the unnamed suspect on Tuesday, pleading for the public in identifying him.

The police chief said a knife was recovered from the scene, but the stabbing suspect is still free.
Davis’s identification occurs when a shocking video emerged from him being taken to an ambulance after the stabbing attack.
Police revealed that officers arrived at the fast food chain and found Davis with a single stab wound.
“The preliminary investigation reveals that the suspect and the victim had a brief verbal discussion after the victim crossed in front of several clients waiting to ask for food,” police said.
‘They both left the line, left together through the front door and the suspect immediately stabbed Davis. The suspect and the woman he was with fled the parking lot. ”
No transaction had taken place when the two men entered the fight.

On Tuesday his friends returned to the Oxon Hill Popeyes restaurant location to lay out candles that spelled his name and lay flowers as a makeshift memorial.
Friends of Davis say the fight was not over a chicken sandwich but did not elaborate.
