Kenny Dixon is the best known as playing the drums for country artist Kane Brown, who died in a car accident Saturday, his band said. He was from Dalton, Georgia, and at the time of his death had been living in Lafayette, Georgia, 100 miles northwest of Atlanta.

Kane Brown Band confirmed his death with a statement below

‘It is with profound sadness and disbelief that we confirm we lost our drummer Kenny this weekend in a tragic car accident,’ the band told the station. ‘He was truly one of the greatest and kindest people on and off stage we’ve ever known.’

Kenny is survived by his fiancé Sarah Hedrick. Sarah, who was engaged to the musician and shared a son named Levi with him, said in an Instagram post that she was ‘at a loss of words’ amid the tragic time.

The couple was set to be married on November 30, 2019. On October 11, 2019, Hedrick posted a loving message to Dixon that finished with her saying, “I can’t wait to marry you.”

Kenny was a drummer for Kane Brown. On his Facebook ‘About’ section Dixon wrote: “Drums for Kane Brown if you don’t roch then we can’t be friends.” In an August 2019 review of a Kane Brown gig at the Erie County Fair in New York, a Buffalo News review referred to Dixon as a “Nashville guy.” In the positive review, the reviewer said that during the gig, Dixon “kept the beat ferocious.”

Kenny Dixon Death, Car Accident

Kenny died on  October 12, 2019, in a car accident. His death was confirmed by his fiance who wrote on Instagram; “I’m at a loss of words. I don’t even know how to write this or ever thought I would have to. Kenny passed away last night in a car accident. I know I have to be strong for Levi and God is gonna pull us through this. We have a forever guardian angel watching above us now. Please keep Levi, my family, and Kenny’s family in your prayers.”

It was not immediately clear where the fatal accident took place.

‘Love you so much dude!!!’ the Nashville wrote. ‘You started all of this with me from the start in 2015 when no body else believed we would make it out of Chattanooga playing for 500 people and your last show was in a Fn Stadium my guy.’
