Katy Collins (Katy “Red Dragon” Collins) was a longtime mixed martial art (MMA) flyweight veteran who fought for Bellator, RFA, LFA, and Invicta. She amassed a 7-5 record in professional cage fighting after racking up nearly a dozen fights on the amateur circuit. “Red Dragon” is perhaps best known for her 2-1 stint under the Bellator MMA banner, before transitioning to Legacy Fighting Alliance (LFA), where she last competed in June 2018.

Collins compiled a 7-5 record as a professional mixed martial artist. She turned pro in 2015 and went on to fight for organizations such as Bellator and LFA. She had a 2-1 record in Bellator, with wins over Bruna Vargas and Michelle Royer and a loss to Emily Ducote. She most recently competed in LFA. Before turning pro, she competed as an amateur from 2011 to 2014.
she lost her last fight in June 2018 to Jaimelene Nievera at the Legacy Fighting Alliance event in Branson, Missouri. That loss proceeded two others, on March 2018 and September 2017 respectively.
Furthermore, Katy last win came in July 2017 over Bruna Vargas. In total, Collins fought 12 times, winning seven times and losing five.

Katy Collins died on September 25, 2019 at the age of 32, following complications of a brain aneurysm she suffered on September 20 that left her hospitalized in Branson, Missouri. Her death was confirmed by Branson Fight Club Head Coach JT Tilley on Facebook.
“The fight is over. You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the cards,” coach JT Tilley wrote on Facebook. “I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live your dream with you. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.”

Katy Collins died on September 25th, 2019, five days after she suffered a brain aneurysm.
Collins’ death was confirmed in a Facebook post by Branson Fight Club Head Coach JT Tilley. Collins had been based in at the Missouri club. Tilley wrote in the heartbreaking post, “The fight is over. You never stopped fighting and we never gave up on you. Just wasn’t in the cards…. I’ve always been so proud of you Kate. We did it. I was honored to be able to live you your dream with you. I wouldn’t trade it for anything. I will miss you more than the world will ever know.

Collins suffered a brain aneurysm on September 20 and a GoFundMe page was set up to help to pay for her medical expenses. The GoFundMe page reads, “Everyone knows Katy Collins as a fighter but right now she is fighting for her life. Katy had a brain aneurysm Friday, September 20th and she will have a long road to recovery ahead of her. If anyone knows Katy, you would know she is a loving, caring, selfless individual with a huge heart. Right now she needs help to make it through the next few months with personal and medical expenses piling on. Please, friends family and loved ones… any help at all is appreciated for our friend right now. She needs us all. Thank you.”
