Kansas Police in hunting for the shooter who walked into the Tequila KC bar and opened fire at about 1:27 a.m. local time, spokesman of Kansas police Thomas Tomasic told local media. The five wounded people were rushed to local hospitals and were in stable condition, Tomasic said.  The shooter has been described as a Hispanic male.

Four people were killed all killed men are Hispanic males and five others wounded in a shooting early Sunday at a bar in Kansas City, Kansas, police said.

There is no information on any of the victims at the moment and the suspect is still at large at this time.

Authorities did not release the identities of the victims, but Juan Ramirez, of Kansas City, Kan., told the Kansas City Star that his 29-year-old nephew was killed and that his family was searching for another relative.

Ramirez said investigators told him they believed there was a fight at the bar and that at least one person involved left the bar and returned with a gun.

Ramirez said his nephew leaves behind a son, 6, and a daughter, 4.

Police Investigation Reports

Detectives of Kansas police are currently working the scene and collecting evidence from surveillance video at the establishment.

Police said they had no reason to believe the shooting was racially motivated and that it appeared to be an isolated incident, possibly related to a disturbance that occurred earlier in the bar.

The weapon that was used was a handgun, police said.

Agents from Kansas City’s Bureau of Alcohol, Tobacco, Firearms, and Explosives (ATF) said they were responding to the shooting later Sunday morning. he said in a tweet. “9 shot, 4 dead and 5 wounded”

No arrests had been made, Tomasic told 41 Action News. He said handgun shells were found at the scene in the private, members-only bar.
