John Nelson Biography, John Nelson Wiki

John Nelson was a 44-year-old Ohio father shot and killed his wife and three young children before turning the gun on himself, the Elyria Police Department says.

The police were summoned to a house in the north for a checkup at the north end of the town for checkup, and found that all five family members were dead.

They described the family as John Nelson, Robin Nelson, 35; Gavin Nelson, 12; Brianna Nelson, 10; and Liam Nelson, 6.

Neighbor Renetta Hubbard told 19 News that she heard gunshots on Tuesday night.

“At first I thought it was a firework, but gunshots,” he said. “My husband jumped out of bed and said there were gunshots.”

Elyria police said they were checking the family when John Nelson couldn’t reach his office and his boss was concerned. Authorities have not said what could lead to murder suicide, and family members also seem confused.

“I know they’re trying to get out of this neighborhood and move somewhere, and he just wanted to be busy with kids and keep them out of trouble, so none of this makes sense,” said Ben Runyon, a cousin, 19 News. “We are lost now.”

Runyon said Nelsons was a “typical family”.

“There were two boys and a girl, and his wife worked as a nurse and worked on the road at the plastic bag factory and lived here all his life,” he said.

Another neighbor, Josalyn Woolfork, said she saw the couple recently argued outside.

“It’s very sad,” he said. “It’s very sad, you never know what people are going through.”

All three children went to Elyria City Schools. The district said on Wednesday that counselors and social workers will be available at Elyria High School on Monday for “students, parents and staff who need support”.

“These three sibling teachers, school principals, other students, neighbors, friends and family were very much loved,” said the school principal Ann Schloss. “People who love them can talk for hours with the irreplaceable good that these young people bring to our school buildings. And there really isn’t enough words to describe the pain caused by a tragedy of this violence. “
