John Frusciante Early Life, Early Career

Frusciante was born in Queens, New York, on March 5, 1970. His father, John Sr., is a Juilliard-trained pianist, and his mother Gail was a promising vocalist who gave up her career to be a stay-at-home mother. Frusciante’s family moved to Tucson, Arizona, and then Florida, where his father served as a Broward County judge until October 2010. His parents separated, and he and his mother moved to Santa Monica, California. Frusciante is of Italian descent; his paternal great-grandfather Generoso Frusciante emigrated from Benevento.

A year later, Frusciante and his mother moved to Mar Vista, Los Angeles, with his new stepfather, who, according to him, “really supported me and made me feel good about being an artist.” Like many young people in the area, he became intimately involved in the Los Angeles punk rock scene. At nine he was in love with germs, running out several copies of his record (GI). At ten o’clock, he had taught himself how to play most (GI) songs. He has stated that he really did not know what he was doing, and that he would play each chord with a single finger bar.
Frusciante began studying guitarists like Jeff Beck, Jimmy Page, David Gilmour and Jimi Hendrix at age eleven. He discovered Frank Zappa, whose work he would study for hours. Frusciante first heard about the Red Hot Chili Peppers around 1984 when his guitar instructor was auditioning as a guitarist for that band. He dropped out of high school at sixteen with his parents’ permission and the completion of a proficiency test. With his support, he moved to Los Angeles to develop his musical mastery. He started taking classes at the Institute of Guitar Technology, but he started hitting without actually attending and left shortly after.

John Frusciante Married, Wife, Net worth, Personal Profile

In 2011, Frusciante married Nicole Turley, drummer and lead vocalist of the experimental band Swahili Blonde. On May 8, 2015, it was announced that Turley had filed for divorce. On October 3, 2015, Turley announced that he was looking for $ 75,000 a month as part of his divorce agreement. According to court documents, Turley, who was already paid $ 20,000 a month, needed a higher payment to maintain his quality of life. She claimed that her finances were reduced to $ 30,000. Turley said Frusciante was worth $ 14 million and that he was entitled to more money by saying that together the couple employed a team of personal assistants, and they owned three houses and a private music studio. A week later, Frusciante responded to Turley’s demands by saying that he refuses to pay her more money and that she is also looking for $ 2,600 a month for gifts and expenses for her adult brother. He also said that he had finished paying his musical career bill saying: “I don’t know if you can call his recording efforts a hobby or a hobby … but it seems inappropriate to characterize Nicole as a professional musician.” On October 19, 2015, a judge ruled in favor of Turley saying Frusciante had to pay his ex-wife $ 53,000 a month. Frusciante was also forced to pay $ 71,000 for Turley’s legal expenses.

John Frusciante Rejoins Red Hot Chili Peppers

Red Hot Chili Peppers announced on Sunday that the band split from guitarist Josh Klinghoffer after 10 years and met the musician to replace Klinghoffer John Frusciante.

“Josh is a beautiful musician that we respect and love,” wrote Red Hot Chili Peppers on Instagram. “We are very grateful for our time with him and the countless gifts that he has shared with us.”
The band added, “We are excited to announce that John Frusciante is joining our group.”
The meeting marks Frusciante’s third period with Red Hot Chili Peppers: after Frusciante joined the band in 1988 after the death of guitarist Hillel Slovak, he performed on the LP Mother Mother’s Milk in 1989 and on the masterpiece Blood Sugar Sex on Magik in 1991; The latter tremendous success prompted Frusciante to leave the group halfway through the tour to support the album.
Frusciante returned to Chili Peppers six years later and played on Californication’s 1999 album, By the Way of 2002 and Stadium Arcadium in 2006. Frusciante left the band again in September 2009 during his extended break and was on time replaced by Klinghoffer, the band’s backup tour guitarist. Klinghoffer was also a member of Red Hot Chili Peppers for his two latest studio albums, “I’m With You of 2011” and “The Getaway of 2016”. In 2016 Frusciante met Anthony Kiedis and Flea in a benefit concert.
So far, the Red Hot Chili Peppers 2020 have booked several shows in the USA, on May 15 at the Gulf Shores, at the Alabama Hangout Festival and on May 24 at the Boston Calling Festival.
