Jeremy Bulloch was best known for playing the first Boba Fett to appear in the Star Wars film series.

He first starred in The Empire Strikes Back in 1980 and in Return of the Jedi before playing a different role in Revenge of the Sith in 1983.


The sad news of his death was confirmed by Star Wars fan website Fantha Tracks.


The cause of his death has not yet been confirmed.


Daniel Logan, who took over the role of Boba Fett from the 2002 film Star Wars: Episode II – Attack of the Clones, paid tribute to him on Instagram.


He wrote: “Announcing that Jeremy Bulloch is dead makes me tears !!


“I’ll never forget what the RIP legend taught me !!


“I will love you forever!!


“Conventions will not be the same without you, keep power always with you.”


Jeremy was born in 1945 in Market Harborough, Leicestershire.


He started his career when he started appearing in television commercials at the age of 12.


The actor’s first major role was in 1960’s Counter-Attack! It was in the series.


In 1962, she starred with Cliff Richard in the movie Summer Vacation.


From 1979 to 1981, he appeared on the ITV sitcom Agony, where he played Rob Illingworth.


He landed the role of Boba Fett in The Empire Strikes Back in 1980.


He then returned to his role in Return of the Jedi in 1983.


In 2005, he was cast as Captain Colton in a miniature role in Revenge of the Sith.


He regularly attended fan meetings but decided to retire from going in 2018.


Jeremy said in a post on his website: “It was with a heavy heart that I decided to stop attending meetings and hang the Fett helmet.
