A Tennessee couple was charged this week with the death of a woman they lured into their home and then held there by chaining her to a bed while they raped and beat her, Oak Ridge Today reports.
Police said they went home on Wednesday evening after receiving a report of a possible murder. They had received and executed a search warrant early Thursday.
The arrest warrants said Finnegan and Dishman had brought Paxton into their home with the promise of a place to stay, but when he got there the couple chained him to a bed, chained him with a dog collar, and tied his arms with zipper ties. He also said in the search warrants that the couple hit the head and arm with a baseball bat to prevent his ability to escape.
According to court orders, Finnegan and Dishman raped Paxton repeatedly and denied her food and medical care. Eventually the arrest warrants said they had strangled him.

Each has been charged with first-degree murder, aggravated kidnapping, abuse of a corpse, and falsification of evidence. Additionally, Finnegan faces a single aggravated rape charge, and Dishman faces a series of serious sexual crimes.
According to WATE, Dishman was taken to court by video on Friday and was awarded $ 1 million in bonds. Finnegan was due to go to court on Friday, but officials at the Anderson County General Court Clerk’s office said he was not cooperating. The court was adjourned on Monday morning.
