Jason Landry, 21, a Texas State University student, is missing after his car was found crashed near U.S. 183 in Luling, Texas. He is believed to have been heading back home for Christmas break, but no one has heard from him since the crash. A small amount of blood was found in his car, along with his phone.
DPS officials told KVUE that Landry’s car crashed at 12:30 on Monday, December 14, after a resident in Caldwell County reported seeing him on Salt Flat Road near US 183. There was no one in the car when the vehicle was found, but the DPS was able to determine that Landry owned the car. Helicopters searched the area without any success.
His car probably crashed around 23:30. ABC 13 was reported at 12:30 on Sunday and Monday.
Heather Sasser, a family friend, shared on Facebook that Landry’s car was involved in a single car accident and hit two trees. He later shared on Facebook that his scent may have been traced to a nearby abandoned house, but was not found. His aunt posted a similar message on Facebook. Authorities have not yet approved the update.
Click2Houston believes the authorities have just left the State of Texas and are heading home for the Christmas holidays. His car, named Nissan Altima, was found just 30 miles from campus.

Sasser shared on Facebook that Landry was traveling from Texas State to Sienna Plantation in Houston.
Lisa Landry, Landry’s mother, said there was a small amount of blood in the car, ABC 13 reported. He said his phone, wallet, keys and other belongings were still in the car.
Her mother said she was worried about her son because at this time the temperatures in the area were very cold at night.
“We just need a lot of prayers,” he said. “We need this to work. We need God’s help and all prayers.”
A Texas State University spokesperson confirmed that he was missing and told KVUE: “Texas State University continues to monitor the situation and we hope we will have a positive outcome.”
In Texas EquuSearch, Woodlands Online, authorities don’t know what Landry was wearing when he disappeared. She has scars on one of her ankles and her medium length hair. It may have a goatee.
Helicopters help search for dogs, family and friends. His father shared that drones are used to detect body temperature.
Jason Landry’s father Kent Landry shared that he was the senior pastor of the Southminster Presbyterian Church and helped the search in Luling. The church has created an ingenious account so that church members can sign up for 15-minute time slots and pray for Jason Landry and his family.
