Jared Desadier (Monroe Police Officer Arrested) Wiki – Jared Desadier (Monroe Police Officer Arrested) Biography

Monroe Police Officer Jared Desadier was arrested Saturday and booked into jail in Ouachita Parish on charges of malfeasance in office and second-degree battery.
According to local media reports, Desadier is accused of surrendering Timothy Williams after surrendering after trying to escape the police. After Williams was arrested, about eight officers accused him of punching and kicking.
Monroe Police Department said that besides charging Desadier, he left four other officers on leave. The city says the investigators have not yet decided whether anonymous officers are using too much power.
Williams was stopped while police officers searched for the alarm source. According to the arrest report, Williams produced a fake black gun under his shirt. In a search, the officers found a crack pipe in his pocket, reporting the report, and Williams ran. He was then transferred to a hospital for “tears he was trying to escape without getting caught”.
Police department and city said body camera footage will be released soon.
“I am really excited to see orders of arrest issued, but at this point the public needs to see what really happened,” Monroe Democrat Senator Katrina Jackson said during the protest Saturday. “To me, when you keep a video for so long, you’re protecting those who keep it.”
Williams’ lawyer, Donecia Banks-Miley, said he wanted the authorized officers not to be reinstated or allowed to avoid responsibility.
“We will defend until the end of the law’s prosecution for each of the specific officers who are there and participate in this brutal beating,” Banks-Miley said.
After reviewing the preliminary evidence, the MPD left two arrest officers on administrative leave. Initial evidence showed that they were only two officers when force was used.
Three additional officers who were not involved in the use of force also applied for administrative permission for further investigation.
A full and complete investigation into the allegations continues, according to a city statement released on Friday.
Body camera images of meeting with the citizen are available and used in pending investigations. In a statement, the city will be released as soon as possible.
Williams, 39, was detained on April 21.
Stopped at 400th North Fourth Street block while searching for an audible alarm.
According to the arrest report, Williams produced a fake black gun under his shirt.
In a search, the officers found a crack pipe in his pocket, report, and Williams ran away from the scene. Later, “because of the tears he was trying to escape without getting caught” He was transferred to Francis.
The report states that the fake gun and cracked pipe were recorded in the evidence cabinets of the MPD.
