Who is Jameson Long? (Mom’s boyfriend Brian O’Grodnick charged with murder) Bio, Wiki
Brian O’Grodnick, 22, was charged with four counts of child abuse after investigators found several videos on his cellphone showing repeated abuse of Jameson Long, who died on June 2 after he was found unconscious and not breathing at a Joplin home three days earlier.
On Monday, O’Grodnick, who was held loose in Jasper County Prison, was also charged with first-degree murder and two child abuse.
First responders rushed the toddler to a local hospital on May 31, after answering the call about an unconscious child, but transported him to Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City, 160 miles away, as his injuries were severe.
Investigators, according to court documents, received a search warrant for O’Grodnick’s cell phone and discovered that he had recorded previous cases of child abuse. On April 22, it was alleged that Jameson squeezed his mouth while he was pushing O’Grodnick’s face.
On April 21, he allegedly squeezed the suspect’s mouth again and slapped him in the face. On April 22, mobile phone footage showed that O’Grodnick suffocated Jameson while forcing the boy to beg for water. In another video the same day, it was alleged that the suspect punched Jameson in the face.
On May 1, according to a possible cause statement obtained by KSN, mobile phone images showed that O’Grodnick was holding Jameson’s hair and wanted to know if the boy liked him.
Investigators said that throughout the videos, Jameson could be seen bruising, shaking and crying. Police added that the suspect admitted to harassing the boy while recording the events on his cell phone.
O’Grodnick was arrested the next day on the first child abuse charge. Globe said additional charges were delayed while prosecutors were waiting for the medical doctor to explain the results of the autopsy. Prosecutor Theresa Kenney added new charges after reviewing the report, but did not disclose its content.
