Hannah Waters (Georgia’s North Paulding High School Student) Biography – Hannah Waters Wiki
Georgia’s North Paulding High School hit the student, 15-year-old Hannah Waters, with a 5-day suspension for posting that photo — a shot she took out of concern for her safety … as well as her classmates’.
This back-to-school pic didn’t just alarm parents worried about their kids and coronavirus … it also got at least 2 teenagers suspended.
Hannah said, “Second day at North Paulding High School. Equally bad. We stopped because we got stuck.” He was pushed multiple times and defiantly said, “This is not appropriate. I’m not talking about the 10% mask rate.”
The stance of the school is that Hannah and another student who posted the crowded corridor image violated her school policy on social media and posted images of minors.
The letter of this school’s law, of course, is easily debatable … the safety of students and faculty should take some consideration here. Hannah posted the picture clearly because she was concerned about the inadequacy of social distance.
Hannah said she thought the suspension to BuzzFeed News was excessive.
The photo went viral on Tuesday because it emphasized the parents’ fears, and therefore … when teachers, students returned to school for the first time since the pandemic started.
