Emma Ogle, a career and technical education (CTE) Health Occupations teacher at Garinger High School in Charlotte, was taken into custody on Halloween and charged with a sex act with a student, indecent liberties with a student and a crime against nature.

Officers were called around 8 a.m. to the home of 63-year-old Garinger High School teacher Emma Ogle, who last week was arrested after being accused of having sex with a student.
Detectives said Emma Ogle’s husband, 59-year-old Michael Ogle, did not show up for work Wednesday morning and a relative went to the home to check on him. That family member told police she saw Emma Ogle inside the house holding a gun.

Police say Emma Ogle shot her husband and then herself in murder-suicide’
Ironically, Michael Ogle’s final Facebook post from November 4 was about suicide prevention
SWAT officers who arrived on the scene entered the family’s residence and found Michael dead from a gunshot wound.
Emma reportedly also died of a gunshot wound inside the house a short time later, citing police said.
The couple lived opposite an elementary school which was placed on lockdown during the police investigation.
