Daniel Garcia and Ivan Salazar Jr. (Tot boy and baby brother Dies inside the car)
According to the Shelby County Coroner’s Office, Daniel Garcia, 3, and Ivan Salazar Jr., 1, apparently couldn’t get themselves out of a car after climbing inside. The incident happened on August 15 at a home off of County Road 25 in Montevallo.
Alabama officials released the names of two young boys who passed away last week inside a hot car, while temperatures outside soared to over 90 degrees.

Coroner Lina Evans said the toddlers got into the car sometime after 1 p.m. on Saturday. Family members found the boys at about 3:30 p.m. the same day. The boys’ parents reportedly said that they thought the children were playing in their rooms but must have wandered outside.
On the day in question, temperatures rose to 91 degrees outside. However, Al.com said, “It may have exceeded 135 degrees inside the car.”
Police do not suspect any foul incident in the incident. Evans said lawmakers were investigating, but this is “unfortunately a tragic accident.”
Daniel was one of the happiest kids you could ever meet. It was read on an obituary, ” he enjoyed watching cartoons, especially Dinosaur King and Octonautsm. “He worshiped his baby brother Ivan and never let him out of his sight.”
Described as “mother’s son” and father’s son in the evenings, Ivan was “a happy boy full of laughter” at his obituary.
The deaths of the children are the second time a child died in a hot car in Alabama in the same week. As CrimeOnline previously reported, 20-year-old Dakota Fowler and 21-year-old Brandi Burks were arrested after their 3-year-old son Bentley was found dead on August 9.
How long Bentley has been in the car is unknown; Fowler and Burks told the police at Hodges that they put their son to bed Saturday midnight. He was found dead at 16:30. Sunday. Investigators said they believed the couple forgot about Bentley when a friend came home Saturday night.
