Colleen Fahey is best known for being the wife of John Fahey, an Australian politician who served as Premier of New South Wales from 1992 to 1995 and as Minister for Finance from 1996 to 2001. Fahey died on 12 September 2020. He was 75 years old.
John and Colleen Fahey’s daughter Tiffany died in a car accident on December 26, 2006, at the age of 27. John and Colleen Fahey became legal guardians of Tiffany’s children, Campbell and Amber. The eldest of three children is his son Matthew Fahey and eldest daughter Melanie Fahey.
It sparked some controversy when he announced that he was against both abortion and birth control.
Fahey died on September 12, 2020. He was 75 years old. In a statement Saturday morning, NSW prime minister Gladys Berejiklian paid tribute to Fahey and offered his family the option of a state funeral for the former prime minister.
