Church of Christ Shooting
Two people are dead and one is in critical condition after reports say a church in White Settlement was shot.
Several agencies are responding to the 1900 South Las Vegas Trail in White Settlement, where the West Freeway Church of Christ is located.
MedStar spokeswoman Macara Trusty confirmed that one person died at the shooting site, one person died on the way to a hospital, and another person was brought to the hospital in critical condition.
A spokesman for the Fort Worth Fire Department, Mike Drivdahl, said the agency had sent out an “active threat” order around 11:30 am and was on-site to assist the police and the White Settlement fire.
The church was live-streaming its service at the time of the attack, according to WFAA. Parishioners at the mostly full church appeared to duck behind pews and covered their heads, according to the live stream.
The suspected shooter was among the people taken to the hospital, authorities said.
