The Greater Cincinnati community has suffered a great loss with the death of Head Chef Avelino Rojas Vargas of Covington’s KungFood Chu’s Amerasia.
The restaurant announced via a Facebook post that Vargas passed away on Sunday due to complications of COVID-19.
Vargas was a talented chef and beloved member of the AmerAsia family, in addition to his own family, whom he leaves behind.
The restaurant wrote about their team member and his impact on their business in the post.
