Chad Dorrill COVID-19, Death Cause
Dorrill’s mother, Susan, said in a statement that her son was tired for two weeks before the diagnosis. Susan Dorrill partly said, “We didn’t know she was attacking her body in a way they’d never seen it before.” Said. He added that the doctors said Dorrill had 1-10,000,000 cases. “If it happens to a super healthy 19-year-old who doesn’t smoke, smoke or use drugs, it can happen to anyone,” says Susan Dorrill.
Appalachian State University opened for the fall semester on August 17, with a mix of classroom and online learning. A post on the school’s website on September 26 said that 16 students from two COVID-19 clusters on campus were diagnosed with the virus.
The Watauga Democrat reported that Dorrill passed away on September 28 at the Forsyth Medical Center in Winston-Salem.

He does his best to please everyone and to make everyone happy, no matter what happens to him. “Dorrill was hospitalized in early September but was released to go home on 22 September, Bell said.

Dorrill lived in the Piedmont Triad close to Charlotte in North Carolina. A post on the Piedmont Pacers basketball team’s Facebook page said Dorrill has played with their organizations since 2013, when his family moved from Wisconsin to North Carolina. The post described Dorrill as “quiet” and “soft-spoken”, but said he was “a fierce rival for the Pacers, whose brutal rush and shooting ability on the basketball court helped him win many matches.”
The post went on by saying Dorrill was the Pacers’ all-time top scorer and part of the team that won the 2018 United States Special Sports Association championship. Dorrill was “loved by all his teammates” and “had all the qualities any parent would want to see in their child.” In the team statement, it was stated that Dorrill’s parents, Robert and Susan, are regularly seen at Pacers games, helping the organization create a “family-like atmosphere”. The post ended with the words: “Our hearts go to them and we cannot imagine the pain they are experiencing right now.”
