Two Louisiana women were arrested on Wednesday after a 14-year-old boy was reported to have fled his home and asked for help from a neighbor.
Shreveport Times reported on Wednesday that officers who responded to a welfare call on Coldwell Street were greeted by a resident who claimed he wanted food for the child’s home. The resident was reported to have told the authorities that they had appealed due to the child’s appearance.

It was reported that with the Shreveport Police Department Youth Services Bureau, detectives conducted a preliminary investigation and learned that the 14-year-old boy had been locked in his room since March.
The law enforcement has issued a search warrant at the child’s home. Although it is unclear what they observe or collect, 39-year-old Kari Barber and 39-year-old Cassidy Dunn (pictured left, right) were ultimately arrested on charges of second-degree persecution for a child and a false prison sentence.
The authorities have not yet disclosed Barber and Dunn’s relationship with the victim. Its current state is also unknown.
