Brandon Theesfeld Biography

Brandon Theesfeld, 22, of Fort Worth, Texas, was led from the Lafayette County Courthouse by Major Alan Wilburn Tuesday afternoon after his arrest Monday, The Oxford Eagle reports. He has been arrested on suspicion of the murder of Alexandria Ally Kostial. According to his Facebook page, Theesfeld is a Texas native and student at the University of Mississippi.

It is unclear if Theesfeld and Kostial knew each other, and a motive in the shooting is also not known. Theesfeld and his family could not be reached for comment by Latestbio, and it is not clear if he has hired an attorney who could comment on his behalf. According to the Oxford Eagle, online jail records show that Brandon Theesfeld was being held at the Lafayette County Jail on suspicion of murder.

Ally Kostial’s Death

Brandon and Ally were both schoolmates at the University of Mississippi. Alexandria ‘Ally’ Kostial was reportedly found shot eight times by a police officer during a routine patrol on Saturday morning near Sardis Lake in Mississippi. The police have not released the relationship between the two or the motive.

According to WLBT-TV, Ally was last seen on Friday night on surveillance video stopping at the door of a bar in the square in Oxford, Mississippi. She, however, didn’t enter the bar, she just paused, turned and walked out of the camera’s view.

According to her roommates, she went their Oxford home about midnight, but at some time after that left again. Her roommates told the police that they didn’t hear her leave. Her body was later found on Saturday at 10:23 a.m. in Harmontown, Mississippi, near Sardis Lake, which is about 20 miles from the University of Mississippi’s Oxford campus, where Kostial had been living for the summer.

We will release it when it is appropriate and not before. We want to thank the family of Alexandria for their patience and trust in the Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department.” Investigators have said they need to remain silent not to jeopardize the investigation.

Brandon is the son of Daniel Theesefeld and Kerry Ann Campbell. His father is a doctor in the Fort Worth area, who owns and operates the Pain Management Center of Texas, according to his Facebook page. His parents are divorced.

Daniel told WMCA-TV’s Kendall Downing that he believed is son was innocent and asked that everybody “him the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise”.

“I know my son is innocent. And I have reasons to believe that I can’t share anything now. But I would ask everybody to please give him the presumption of innocence until proven otherwise.”

Brandon has two siblings, two younger sisters, one of whom is also a student at the University of Mississippi.

Theesfeld attended Fort Worth Country Day high school from 2012 to 2014 but did not return to the school because of academics and he did not graduate from Fort Worth Country Day. Heavy.com reported that he graduated from San Marcos Academy, a private Baptist boarding school about 3 and a half hours south of Fort Worth.

Brandon was enrolled at the University of Mississippi in Oxford and has been suspended, according to a statement released by Rod Guajardo, Associate Director of Strategic Communications at Ole Miss.

WLBT-TV reported that Brandon Theesfeld is scheduled to go before a Lafayette County judge on Tuesday, July 23, for his initial appearance in court on the murder charge. Theesfeld was initially booked into jail on an investigative hold, which allowed police to hold him in custody for up to 72 hours before formal charges were brought resulting in “hold” being crossed out in jail records and “murder” was written in its place.

The Lafayette County Sheriff’s Department is investigating the case with assistance from the Mississippi Bureau of Investigations and the Mississippi Crime Lab Crime Scene Unit. Authorities said they are actively working on the matter. The University of Mississippi Police Department and the Oxford Poice Department are also investigating.
