Benjamin Jong Ren Hung, 28, from San Marino, is accused of transporting firearms across state borders and making a false statement about acquiring firearms.
When he first appeared in Los Angeles federal court on Wednesday, Hung was arrested pending trial Monday to determine his bail status.

According to a statement filed with the complaint, Pasadena Police Department officers arrested Hung on May 31, after allegedly attempting a truck attack in Old Town Pasadena.
According to the sworn statement, the crowd dispersed as the truck approached and no injuries were reported.
According to the affidavit, during a search on Hung’s truck, police found a loaded semi-automatic pistol, several high-capacity magazines loaded with ammunition, an 18-inch machete, $ 3,200 in cash, a long metal pipe and a megaphone.
Prosecutors allegedly bought the firearm from a friend who bought it for him in Oregon and then took it to California.

mily had used the vineyard in Lodi, California, as a training camp to prepare to respond to civil strife.
If convicted, Hung faces up to five years in federal prison terms.
