Aniah Haley Blanchard was a 19-year-old girl renown for being the stepdaughter of UFC heavyweight fighter Walt Harris. She is from Auburn, Alabama. Aniah was reported missing on Thursday, October 24th. She last talked to a friend just before midnight on October 23rd. Authorities say she is a victim of foul play.

Aniah Blanchard Found Dead
The search for 19-year-old Aniah Blanchard officially closes in heartache as the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences confirms human remains discovered Monday in the Shorter community off County Road 2 belong to the Auburn teenager.

Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes confirmed the information with news 3 late Wednesday afternoon.
Auburn Police released the following information:
“After previous searches of dozens of areas, the Auburn Police and Fire Divisions assisted by the Alabama Law Enforcement agency’s SBI Unit, a team of Anthropologists from Florida Gulf Coast University, the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, the Macon County Sheriff’s Office as well as over 100 first responders from throughout the area have been examining a wooded area in the 38,000 block of County Road 2 in Shorter, Alabama where human remains were found on Monday, November 25, 2019. The remains were believed to be that of Aniah Haley Blanchard who was reported missing on October 24, 2019; it is with heavy hearts that we announce that the Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences has positively identified the remains as those of Aniah Haley Blanchard. At this point, the case will move forward as a Homicide investigation and additional charges are forthcoming.Those working over a month and assisting the Auburn Police Division in the investigation include but are not limited to: Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes and staff, the US Marshal Service who tracked and took suspects into custody to include the State of Florida, Federal Bureau of Investigation, the Alabama Law Enforcement Agency’s aircraft and personnel, Montgomery Police Department, Central Alabama Crime Stoppers, Montgomery County Sheriff’s Office, Opelika Police Department, Lee County Sheriff’s Office, Macon County Sheriff’s Office, Alabama Fusion Center, Alabama Department of Forensic Sciences, the US Department of Homeland Security as well as the Florida Gulf Coast University Department of Justice Studies.”

The Auburn Police Division, as part of the ongoing joint investigation with the Montgomery Police Department, released a snippet of a video capturing Aniah Haley Blanchard making a purchase at a convenience store located on South College Street, on Wednesday, Oct. 23, just prior to her vehicle being observed traveling southbound on South College Street.
Aniah Blanchard Reward for Information on Aniah Haley Whereabouts
UFC president Dana White said in a video posted Wednesday, October 30th that he’s contributing $25,000 for information leading to an arrest and conviction of anyone involved in the disappearance of Aniah Haley Blanchard.
“And please, share this message and keep Aniah, Walt and their entire family in your thoughts,” White said.
That’s on top of the $5,000 reward put up Wednesday by Alabama Gov. Kay Ivey for information about the Southern Union College student’s whereabouts.
“I am issuing this reward to help encourage those with information to come forward,” Ivey said during a press conference, AL.com reports. “We continue to pray for Aniah and her family as law enforcement officials work to bring her home.”
Anyone with information regarding Aniah or her vehicle’s whereabouts is asked to call the Auburn Police Division Detective Section at 334-501-3140, the anonymous tip line at 334-246-1391 or the 24-hour non-emergency number at 334-501-3100.
Police initially said they didn’t find any evidence of foul play in the teen’s disappearance, but authorities no longer believe that’s the case.
“This is a criminal investigation, obviously we’re approaching it as such,” Lee County District Attorney Brandon Hughes told reporters alongside Ivey. “We do not believe that Aniah would or did go missing on her own volition.”

Aniah Blanchard Suspect Killer
30-year-old Ibraheem Yazeed, 35-year-old Antwon “Squirmey” Fisher of Montgomery are charged with Kidnapping First Degree.
They are both being held in the Lee County Detention Facility. Yazeed has no bond and Fisher was originally given a no bond as well. Later on Monday, he was given a $50,000 bond. As of Wednesday Fisher remained incarcerated.
