In the span of a week, two of the victims died—but Barini and her pimp allegedly continued to drug her customers, and even robbed some of them once they were incapacitated, authorities said in court papers.
The first death was July 4th at a hotel in Astoria, Queens, where Barini was caught leaving the room on videotape. The man died of a lethal cocktail of booze, meth, cocaine, and fentanyl, officials said.
On July 11th, a second man was found dead of a fentanyl overdose at another hotel in Queens, where Barini was again allegedly caught on videotape.
The most recent one recorded in August 2019 is the death of Cipriani Dolci head chef Andrea Zamperoni — who was found dead in a borough hostel last week, according to law enforcement sources and court documents. On August 21st, police looking for Andrea went to the Kamway Lodge in Elmhurst, Queens, and knocked on the door of Room 15.
Angelina Barini Initially Claimed her Pimp Drugged the Victims
In step with court docket files, Barini advised police officers “she did no longer do it, her pimp made her do it and it become no longer her” but later admitted to supplying the chef tablets. The pimp, whose name was no longer regarded, allegedly would no longer allow her name the police and discussed reducing up the body to cover, the courtroom documents say.
“Barini stated in sum and substance and in component that she did no longer do it, her pimp made her do it and it became no longer her. In the corner of the room, regulation enforcement government noticed what seemed to be a garbage can with mattress linens crammed inside and what appeared to be a bare human foot protruding of the bed linens.”
The court docket papers identified the person only as John Doe-3 but the details match the case of Zamperoni, 33, who was said missing after he neglected his weekly call along with his mother in Italy and then failed to show up for paintings.
Barini claimed her pimp might not let her call the police. Alternatively, he and others came to the room and discussed reducing up the frame—and investigators did discover a power saw, an empty suitcase, and bleach inside the room, despite the fact that there was no “external trauma” to Zamperoni’s frame.
Andrea Zamperoni Missing
Andrea Zamperoni, the 33-year-old head chef at Cipriani Dolce at Grand Central Terminal, was one of those men.
He had been missing for four days before his body was found at the Kamway Lodge in Elmhurst, which is located in an area known for drugs and prostitution, after a woman called 911 to say he was unconscious.
Andrea Zamperoni Death
Police found his body wrapped in a blanket on the floor after Barini opened the door to the hotel room, according to the criminal complaint.
They noted the hotel room had a ‘strong odor consistent with the smell of a dead body and burning incense’.
Police Investigation Reports
She allegedly told investigators that she was a prostitute and that Zamperoni had paid her for sex.
Barini also allegedly said Zamperoni was given liquid ecstasy but he never woke up.
Authorities say Barini blamed everything on her pimp. She allegedly said her pimp told her not to call authorities despite Zamperoni bleeding from his nose and mouth.
Andrea Zamperoni Cause of Death
The medical examiner said Zamperoni’s official cause of death has not yet been determined.
